GEM Warranty Overview

Your GEM vehicle comes with a two-year, 8,000-mile factory warranty. Mileage is unlimited for the first six months of the vehicle warranty. Any time after the sixth month, the vehicle warranty expires at 8,000 miles (12,900 km) or at the end of the two-year period, whichever comes first.

This warranty covers components of your vehicle against defects in material or workmanship. It covers parts and labor charges for repair or replacement of defective parts and begins on the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser. The warranty is transferable to another owner during the warranty period through a GEM Dealer, but any transfer will not extend the original length of the warranty. To find the end date of your factory warranty, use the VIN Search Tool

Your vehicle may have come with a Promotional Limited Warranty. The Promotional Limited Warranty consists of the standard factory warranty plus an additional time period of promotional limited warranty coverage. Any additional warranty coverage after the initial factory warranty is subject to a $50 deductible per visit. See your dealer for details.

Extended Service Contract
To extend your coverage beyond the factory warranty, you may add an Extended Service Contract (ESC) to your vehicle by purchasing a Polaris Protection Plan. This can only be done while a factory warranty or Promotional Limited Warranty is still in place. To learn more, visit ProtectMyPolaris.com. To purchase a Polaris Protection Plan, consult your authorized GEM Dealer.

For lithium-ion batteries, a warranty exists for five years or 30,000 miles (48,300 km), whichever comes first.

For replacement batteries, a one-year warranty exists.

Warranties only apply to defective workmanship or materials under normal use. See your GEM Dealer for warranty exceptions. Warranties start on the date of purchase. The customer must provide the dealer with a copy of the receipt verifying the purchase date.

If you purchased a battery online through the GEM website and need to warranty it, please contact your GEM Dealership. If you purchased the battery online and NOT through GEM, the warranty policies and procedures must be addressed through the website you purchased from. GEM does not warranty items that were not purchased directly through us.

GEM reserves the right to inspect any product before granting a warranty claim. Batteries must be fully charged before they can be evaluated. Only the defective battery in a set will be replaced, not the entire set of batteries. The cost of labor, transportation, service calls, battery installation, recharges or the use of rental batteries are not covered.
